As I have stated, Dan is doing credentialing and as part of that
process, he is determining whether candidates are members of our
party. This is nearly done.

Our previous state committee meeting added new members who had not
participated in previous state committee meetings. Did they have the
"requisite background information that would enable him or her to make
an informed decision" about the business before the state committee
meeting?

Those are harsh words. Of the 28 or so state committee members, less
than one third are women and few are people of color. For a party
that believes in feminism and diversity, we have fallen short of our
ideals.

Most of the people who have now stepped forward to devote their time
and effort to participate in the state committee are women, people of
color, LBGT, people with disabilities and youth members. Are we not
going to even consider seating them to participate in something that
should be a simple ratification lists of members who want to go to
national convention? What does that say of us?
