Two proposals have been listed. In listing the two proposals listed
as Proposal #1 proposing the immediate selection of a slate of 22 new
state committee members, and another listed as Proposal #2 to clarify
the purpose of the meeting, Jamie O'Keefe, the facilitator of the
meeting, has without any foundation denied the simple fact that a
proposal to select a slate of delegates was submitted by myself. The
failure to place that proposal submitted June 20, 2008 11:32:35 PM
EDT, with the implication that there might have been some procedural
reason for doing so:

is unclear. Before proceeding further, the State Committee special
meeting should be given an explanation by the facilitator of the
meeting of:

1. Why was the proposal submitted by Jill Stein, Elie Yarden, John
Andrews, Nat Fortune, MK Merelice, Larry Ely, Eli Beckerman.
2. In the case of a number of proposals being put forth, does the
determination of the order in which they are to be considered, done as
in a normal State Committee meeting. Dan Melnechuk's clarification of
June 20, states
"There is no policy or procedures written that differentiate a
virtual statecom meeting from a physical one. The only difference is
location." Is this to be taken seriously?
3. If anyone deems it necessary to reconsider the purpose for which
the Special Meeting was called, then what specifically is the purpose
of placing this third in an agenda.

Lastly. I wish to enter an exception to the notion that it is
possible to build a strong ecological politics on non-involvement of
assenting subjects who have failed to vote "NO" by virtue of absence
from the process. It is only in that light that I read the statement:
> Since these proposals are going out during the weekend, please send
> your ballots back by noon on Monday, June 23rd.
as an invitation to non-participation. If I am the only person in the
party who can read this fully in its implications, I do not deserve
to be a member of it. Within the Green-Rainbow Party, I sincerely
refuse to be a 'whistleblower.'
