Hi Elie and everyone else.

Here is a clarification for the order of the proposals. Since we are
operating under the State Committee Standing Rules
(http://green-rainbow.org/StateCom/standing_rules.html), the first
item on the agenda is to:

"Address any credentialing issues with delegates to the state
committee. If none, this item is skipped. Decisions on credentialing
will be made by those delegates whose credentials are not under
review. Quorum is calculated based on delegates whose credentials are
not under review."

Thus, credentialling has to be the first item with which we deal.

At the June 16th Administrative Committee meeting, Merelice raised a
concern that the purpose of the meeting was not specific enough. We
agreed that a proposal clarifying the purpose of the meeting should be
presented to the State Committee. Since we wanted to act on electing
delegates and alternate delegates as quickly as possible, we agreed to
place both proposals on the same consensus ballot.

On the 17th, I mentioned that there would be a proposal clarifying the
purpose of the meeting:

On June 19th, Larry Ely posted the text of the proposal clarifying the
purpose of the meeting:

http://www.green-rainbow.org/pipermail/statecom/2008-June/008452.html

On June 20th, your proposal to elect delegates arrived on the statecom list:

http://www.green-rainbow.org/pipermail/statecom/2008-June/008478.html

So, your proposal would be the third item on the agenda.

I hope this clarifies the situation. Thank you for bringing it up.

Jamie
