Subject: [Locals] S/R Seeks Submissions

Call for Articles

Synthesis/Regeneration: A Magazine of Green Social Thought is seeking
articles for the Winter 2004 issue.

S/R addresses political, social and ecological issues often ignored by
corporate-dominated, mainstream media outlets. We are looking for pieces
discussing
issues raised in the Fall 2003 S/R and those discussing new perspectives on
the 2004 elections. Some topics we would like to see addressed are (but are
not limited to):

- What should the role of the Green Party be in US politics?

- Should the Greens run a presidential candidate in 2004?

- If so, who should the Green Party nominate for president in 2004?

- Is beating Bush worth backing Democrats?

- How can the Green Party address the 10 key Green values during the
campaign season?

  - Should electoral efforts be local or national?

Articles should be submitted electronically for consideration by embedding
them in the message sending them. Articles should be up to 2000 words.
Longer
pieces should be discussed with the editor before being submitted.

The author should include her/his name, organization or affiliation, E-mail
address, postal address, and a statement granting permission for publication
in
S/R.

Articles must be received by Monday, October 20, 2003 , to be considered for
the Winter 2004 issue. Let us know if you would like to send an article but
would have trouble meeting that deadline.

Questions and submissions should be sent simultaneously to:

fitzdon at aol.com (Don Fitz)

  and

RationalParanoia at aol.com (Nathan Perz)
