       MASS-CARE MEETS IN WESTERN MASS
       11am-4pm, second floor, Pot Pourri Mall, opposite Stop & Shop, 243
King St, Northampton (MNA Region 1, 584-4607). MASS-CARE (Massachusetts
Campaign for Single Payer Health Care, www.masscare.org), the state-wide
alliance of organizations (over 80) campaigning for single payer health care
financing, currently embodied in Senate Bill 755 in the Mass Legislature,
invites all activists to this state-wide meeting. MASS-CARE meets 11am-3pm,
and groups that support single payer are invited to attend. There will be a
break 1-1:30pm for lunch (Chinese, Italian restaurants, Super Stop & Shop
(unionized food store), nearby). At 3pm, Franklin-Hampshire Health Care
Coalition (FHHCC) hosts a Local Allies meetings of groups in the area who
support single payer health care financing, to discuss the following:
       1) introduce your group, and who represents it
       2) what your group has done in support of single payer
       3) plans your group has to support the single payer issue in the
future
       4) discussion of possible joint efforts in the future
