CONTEXT:
Each year 10,000 corporate and governmental representatives meet in a
different US city at the <http://www.bio.org/>Biotech<http://www.bio.org/>
Industry Organization (BIO) convention to promote GE agriculture,
bioweapons development and a profit-driven healthcare system. In the year
2000, four thousand people marched in the streets of Boston in protest.
This year big biotech meets in Philadelphia and plans are well underway for
four days of counter-workshops, street actions, panels, festivities and
marches from June 18th - 21st. Come learn how to get involved in
Biodemocracy 2005 and start thinking about what BIO might encounter when
they return to Boston in 2007 for their annual gathering.
