Subject: GREEN-RAINBOW PARTY SIGNATURE DRIVE UPDATE - 36 HOURS TO GO!!!
To: Signature_Team at green-rainbow.org

We are now 36 hours from the first deadline of the signature drive -
turning in our "raw" signature sheets to the clerks in our local
city/town halls for certification. Thanks to everyone for their work so
far - we had a great time collecting signatures and listening to music
up at the folk festival in Lowell this weekend.

There is still time to gather some signatures and give us a
challenge-proof tally. Based on reports that you've all given, we have
9,942 signatures in process, and 3,760 already certified. Those are
conservative estimates, and if we apply a 70 percent certification rate
to the raw total, we wind up with around 10,700 signatures. We want at
least 11,000 to be able to say we're safe from a Democratic Party challenge.

*If you have new numbers to report, please get them to me ASAP. If you
haven't reported anything yet, now is the time.*

The biggest priority right now is getting the signatures into city/town
halls. If you have signatures that you won't be able to turn in, please
contact me at 857-829-1882 (or reply to this message) and we will
arrange to get your sheets turned in.

If you can volunteer to drive around and deliver signatures, please let
me know. We have until 5 p.m. tomorrow night (Tuesday, August 1st).

We will be meeting this morning and tomorrow morning at the Mystic River
Green Rainbow Action's office at 186 Hampshire St. (Rear) in Inman
Square, Cambridge. Office opens at 10 a.m., and you can call any time
after that to make sure someone will be there: 857-829-1882.

We will be there to take whatever signatures you have, and to give
people signatures to deliver around the state.

When you turn your signatures in, please make sure that YOU GET A
RECEIPT WITH A DATE/TIME STAMP AND A RECORD OF THE NUMBER OF SHEETS YOU
SUBMITTED. The clerk will call you when the sheets have been certified
and are ready for pick-up. We will be in touch with everyone about how
to turn them in. The next deadline is four weeks from tomorrow -
turning certified signatures (10,000+) into the Secretary of State's
office in Boston!!

Thanks again to everyone who pitched in and made this possible. Let's
get those signatures in!

Sincerely,
Pat Keaney
