A HEALTHY, DEMOCRATIC FUTURE!

Threats to our health, our communities, peace and justice have never been
greater. But solutions are not coming from the institutions of power in
Massachusetts. On virtually all fronts we are backsliding. Power holders are

busy pleasing insurance companies, developers, and defense contractors,
while schools struggle, health care falls deeper into crisis, housing costs
sky-rocket and the environment unravels.

We've waited long enough.  Now it's time for citizen action for real
solutions!

In this roundtable, we will explore a package of citizen-powered referendum
strategies including:

PUBLIC CAMPAIGN FINANCING to get big money out of politics,
INSTANT RUNOFF VOTING to open up the political system, and
SINGLE-PAYER UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE.

PS. The roundtable will follow the first annual membership meeting of Mass
Voters for Fair Elections (MVFE), from 1 - 4 PM at the Central Community
YMCA, Main St., Worcester. Mass Voters for Fair Elections is a membership
organization working for public campaign financing in Massachusetts in order
to help build a more open, equal and just society. New (as well as old)
members are welcome to the Mass Voters meeting. Everyone is welcome to the
roundtable, including those who are not members of Mass Voters.
