Since November 2005, monthly actions and rallies have increased public
awareness of risks at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Reactor in Vernon, VT only
25 miles away from Amherst, and Boston's water supply. How thorough is
routine maintenance?  For  22 years, from 1974 to 1996, four pumps wouldn't
have had enough pressure to pump coolant, if they had been needed in an
emergency.  Residents of Massachusetts and Vermont invite you to join a demo
in front of Entergy Nuclear's headquarters on Old Ferry Road, in
Brattleboro, north and east from exit 3, this Saturday afternoon, through
Sunday afternoon, May 13 and 14.

At noon on Saturday walkers gather at the Wells Fountain in downtown
Brattleboro for a walk to Entergy Headquarters where "Reddy Kilowatt"
prepares to speak at at 2pm. (He's decided to give up his addiction to
nuclear power, and join the movement!)  At 3 pm Carol Boyer, an art
therapist from Florence, offers INTERHELP wisdom from the deep ecology
movement to sustain us for the long haul.  At 5 pm a portable, pot-luck
supper is followed by affinity group meetings, theater improv, an all-night
vigil, and puppet making through Sunday, until 2pm. Join us. Plant yourself.
Two by two, this movement is growing.  Come celebrate this full moon and
Mothers Day, with your wisdom, your music, your voice, Saturday or Sunday.
