Subject: Saint Kermit This Week - Democratic Demands, and Green-Rainbow
Candidates
To: Owen Broadhurst <owen.broadhurst at gmail.com>
Good morning Owen
In this week's episode<http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3?http://www.saintkermit.com/mp3s/SK_024.mp3>,
Tony and Jim review some of the politics occurring in advance of this coming
weekend's Democratic State Convention. Apparently one candidate is claiming
that his opponent isn't really a Democrat, and a supporter of another
candidate has outed some delegates as having once supported a candidate -
horrors - of another party. We wonder if these Democrats are interested in
democracy.
Michael and Janine then interview the four statewide candidates of the
Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party: Grace
Ross<http://www.graceandwendy.org/>(Governor), Wendy
Van Horne <http://www.graceandwendy.org/> (Lieutenant Governor), Jill
Stein<http://www.jillstein.org/>(Secretary of the Commonwealth) and
James
O'Keefe <http://www.jamesokeefe.org/> (State Treasurer). Listen in and give
some thought to what they have to say.
We have finally given in, as our musical selection is "Mattapoisett" by Tony
Lorenzen himself. The song was part of a fundraising album produced by his
wife's family a couple of years ago.
In our sports segment, Tony completes a triple play by taking a look at
competitive body building and weight lifting, with the proprietor of Pep's
Gym in Leominster.
