Run for GRP Town, Ward, or State Committee

Only once in four years is there an opportunity for GRP members to run in the official election for GRP Town and Ward  Committee.  Elections for GRP Town and Ward  Committee will take place at all voting locations in your city or town on primary day,  March 1, 2016, the same time that we will be voting to nominate one of several GRP Presidential Candidates.

Having a Town Committee in your town or a Ward Committee in your city is an incredible opportunity to give visibility to the Green-Rainbow Party and its platform for people, planet and peace.

Town and Ward Committees are among the most significant building blocks of the GRP. They create a gathering place for GRP members and supporters in your town. They can be formed with as few as three GRP members.Your GRP Town or Ward Committee is the voice of Green-Rainbow members in your community. There is so much that Town and Ward Committee members can accomplish, such as getting local GRP candidates to run and supporting them, creating or supporting local town warrant articles and city ordinances consistent with Green-Rainbow values, and providing access to public resources, such as meeting rooms, town newsletters/papers, public access television channels and your town website.

Just think, a GRP town or ward committee could succeed in getting your municipality to abolish poverty or run on 100% renewable energy. The future is in our hands, and the local level is where a small group of committed individuals can be responsible for bringing about positive change.

Requirements:
---All Town and Ward Committee Members must be registered Green-Rainbow (Designation J).

---Ward and Town committees require five signatures from registered voters in the respective Ward or Town.(Since not all signatures always end up validated, it is advisable to obtain more signatures than the minimum.)
