I thought that after years of following world events, I was accustomed to terrible news.  But last week I read something that hit me unexpectedly hard.  A German prosthetics firm estimated that since the war in Ukraine began, as many as 50,000 Ukrainians have lost limbs and are seeking prosthetic devices.  50,000.  And the United States is still insisting that they charge ahead through the minefields to sustain their failing counteroffensive.  There must be no negotiations or cease-fires because peace would interfere with the pursuit of the US objective of "bleeding the Russians."  As I thought about this, I realized that the ultimate inhuman evil walks among us.  And I will never, ever, vote for Joe Biden, even if the Democrats succeed in destroying our democracy by keeping third parties off the ballot.
