Just as President Biden is promising to ramp up fracking and shipments of natural gas to our European allies, and a new study reports that domestic gas stoves consumption is a major contributor to air pollution (see report above), corporate giant Eversource is pushing ahead with a pipeline expansion plan through Longmeadow and Springfield.

The gas leaks, the history of fires, and the disruption to the residential communities through which the toxic pipelines are scheduled to pass do not discourage this "gas master."  To add insult to injury, two acres of the Longmeadow Country Club will be converted to a Tennessee Gas meter station site within a quarter-mile of an elementary school.

In partnership with the Springfield Climate Justice Coalition, the Western MASS Regional Chapter of the Green-Rainbow Party has been standing out weekly as a lead-up to the April 9th Rally.  The event starts a 1 PM.
